Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Pomona Traffic Collision

POMONA, Calif., May 23 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on a street in the city of Pomona Wednesday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Pomona police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at East Mission Boulevard and South Reservoir Street.

Per one witness at the scene who declined to speak on camera with KNN, said that the victim who was struck was not breathing. LACoFD paramedics performed lifesaving measures, however, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and was observed talking to officers. Pomona PD had both west and eastbound Mission Boulevard closed as they investigated the fatal incident.
