Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: A pedestrian was struck by a freight train at the intersection of East Palmdale Boulevard and 6th Street East in the city of Palmdale Monday evening.

Palmdale deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department along with firefighters responded to the scene at 5:56 p.m., Feb. 20.

The pedestrian was located and transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident is under investigation with little known at this time.

Eastbound traffic was delayed due to the collision.
