Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Canyon Country

Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, CA: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing sedan in the Canyon Country area of the city of Santa Clarita early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 12:46 a.m. Feb. 19, on a very dimly lit section of the 27500 block of Sierra Highway, south of Soledad Canyon Road.

The pedestrian was killed, but the driver remained at the scene.

A vehicle was seen at the location with heavy damage to its bumper and windshield.

The incident remains under investigation.
