Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision Crossing 605 Freeway in Norwalk

NORWALK, Calif., July 31 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on the 605 Freeway early Wednesday morning.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to a pedestrian running across lanes on the southbound 605 Freeway around 1:51 a.m. at Rosecrans Avenue in the city of Norwalk.

Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the person deceased at the scene. Multiple vehicles had struck the pedestrian, but only one vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was observed talking with CHP officers.

CHP had the off-ramp at Rosecrans Avenue from the southbound 605 closed as they investigated the fatal crash.

There are no other details at this time.
