Pedestrian Struck, Killed in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Collision

VERMONT VISTA, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (KNN) — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene early Wednesday morning in South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred in the area of Century Boulevard and South Figueroa Street outside a gas station in the Vermont Vista neighborhood.

The cause of the collision is unknown and currently under investigation.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner responded to the scene and was observed placing the deceased pedestrian inside their vehicle.
