Pedestrian Struck, Killed on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 27 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking on the 101 Freeway overnight in Hollywood.

California Highway Patrol Central Los Angeles officers and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in lanes on the northbound 101 Freeway at Gower Street at approximately 12:41 a.m. Wednesday.

When first responders arrived on scene, they located a deceased person in the number one lane.

Traffic was stopped for approximately 30 minutes. Caltrans was notified for extended lane closures.

There are no further details at this time.
