LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, May 23 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling along the Cesar Chavez Bridge late Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division officers responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision around 11:10 p.m. on the Cesar Chavez Bridge at Cesar E. Chavez Avenue in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a deceased pedestrian down in lanes on the bridge. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian appeared to be cooperating with police at the scene.
