Pickup Truck Slams Into Townhome, Leaves Path of Destruction

Ventura, Ventura County, CA: A pickup truck crashed into the wall of a townhome exposing a bedroom before coming to rest on a lawn early Thursday morning.

Ventura police and city fire department responded to reports of a pickup truck versus a structure around 12:27 a.m., May 18, in the 2700 block of Harbor Boulevard in the city of Ventura.

When first responders arrived on scene, they found a Chevy pickup truck in the front lawn of a townhome with a trail of destruction.

The truck made impact with the front wall of one of the townhomes before continuing up the sidewalk to its resting location.

The impact to the wall revealed a bedroom on the other side. It is unknown if the bedroom was occupied at the time of the crash.

The driver of the truck was evaluated by medical personnel and passed field sobriety tests administered by officers.

Speed may have been a factor in the crash. No injuries were reported.
