WHITTIER, CA, July 18 (KNN) — Approximately 200 plus vehicles and street bikes took over a parking lot Tuesday night shortly before 11 p.m. on the corner of Norwalk and Washington Boulevards in the city of Whittier.
Cars were doing donuts and burnouts, along with lighting fireworks as a large crowd of spectators looked on with many dangerously close to the spinning vehicles.
At one point in Key News Network video from the location, a child is seen on the shoulders of an adult at the chaotic scene.
When the Whittier Police Department units arrived, they pushed everyone out of the parking lot. Vehicles were seen fleeing the lot and taking off in different directions.
It was not immediately known if anyone was detained or if any vehicles were impounded by the Whittier PD.
