Police Disperse Crowd at Street Takeover in University Park

UNIVERSITY PARK, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division patrol units were informed of vehicles gathering at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and Jefferson Boulevard in the University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

A street takeover was observed at the intersection shortly after officers received the call to respond at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Several onlookers were seen vandalizing a disabled vehicle that participated in the takeover. A video from the scene shows an MTA bus stopped just before the intersection due to the chaos.

LAPD Southwest units arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd.
