Police Pursuit Ends in Crash in Florence-Firestone; Suspect at Large

FLORENCE-FIRESTONE, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (KNN) — A police pursuit early Wednesday morning in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood ended in a multi-vehicle crash, with the suspect fleeing on foot and remaining at large.

The incident began around 1 a.m. when LAPD Newton Division officers were pursuing a white sedan for unknown reasons near Florence and Compton Avenues. The suspect’s vehicle collided with another car, striking an innocent driver, a tree, and a parked pickup truck.

Following the crash, the suspect fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood. Officers searched the area, but the suspect is still outstanding.

No details about injuries or the reason for the pursuit were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
