Bakersfield officers located a possible stolen vehicle around 10:30 p.m. allegedly involved in a robbery prompting a pursuit of the vehicle throughout the city of Bakersfield. The pursuit lasted approximately 45 minutes with multiple Bakersfield PD units chasing the vehicle occupied by four subjects.

At one point, a Bakersfield officer is seen in KNN video standing in an intersection getting ready to throw down what appeared to be a spike strip when the suspect vehicle makes a sudden right turn at the intersection apparently thwarting the officer’s attempt to disable the vehicle.

An airship overhead assisted officers in the chase.

The ongoing pursuit finally terminated in the 600 block of Monterey Street with all subjects taken into custody by Bakersfield PD.

No further details were immediately available.
