Pursuit of Suspected DUI Driver Ends in Rollover Traffic Collision Involving LAPD Vehicle in Sunland

SUNLAND, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 28 (KNN) — A vehicle pursuit terminated in a rollover traffic collision involving the suspect and a Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle Tuesday night in Sunland.

The LAPD initiated a pursuit for a suspected DUI driver around 11:30 p.m., and after about five minutes into the pursuit, the suspect crashed into an LAPD vehicle and flipped over at Foothill and Fenwick Street.

One officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to initial information from the scene. The suspect was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
