Racing Suspect Involves Innocent Driver in Traffic Collision Ending CHP Pursuit

Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County, CA: A California Highway Patrol pursuit ended when a freeway racing suspect involved an innocent driver of another vehicle in a traffic collision off the 57 Freeway late Friday night in the city of Diamond Bar.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., Dec. 16, CHP attempted to pull over two vehicles racing on the southbound 57 Freeway at the 10.

One of the vehicles exited at Sunset Crossing from the southbound 57 Freeway.

The suspect proceeded to crash into a vehicle uninvolved in the pursuit at the intersection of Golden Springs Drive and Sunset Crossing Road.

The driver of the Ford Mustang that fled from CHP officers, attempted to flee the scene of the crash, but was taken into custody by CHP.

An ambulance responded to the scene, but It was unknown if the female from the other vehicle was transported to the hospital.
