STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES, June 3 (KNN) — A raging fire spread to a Studio City apartment building as it consumed multiple vehicles parked in a carport.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched for an auto fire in the 11900 block of Moorpark Street shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
The fire was then upgraded to a structure fire with five cars burning in a carport and exposure to the residence.
Residents were seen running out of the building screaming. One resident told a Key News Network photojournalist that they lived in the building and their car was on fire. Their cat was still inside the building.
It was not known if anyone sustained any injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
