Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: As Tropical Storm Kay made its way into the Pacific Ocean, Southern California was impacted by rainfall on Friday, Sept. 9, drenching the parched Southland with much needed rain and relief from a long, blistering heat wave.

As rain continued past midnight, people were seen out walking unbothered by the rain at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles at 12:45 a.m.

 Rain is predicted to last through Saturday morning.
