Rainstorm Floods Freeways, Roads in Long Beach

Long Beach, Los Angeles County, CA: Rain flooded freeways in the city of Long Beach on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the start of the next round of winter rainstorms over the Southland for at least the next two days in many areas.

Key News Network video footage from a rainy Long Beach around 2:30 p.m., shows standing water at Wardlow Road onto the 405 South on-ramp with cars stalled on the ramp due to flooding.

Additional footage shows the I-710 underwater at Willow Street, with cars cautiously traversing the area.

Caltrans crews were working on clearing storm drains in the area.
