MALIBU, Calif., Mar. 11 (KNN) — Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lost Hills Station had shut down Pacific Coast Highway in both directions at Big Rock Drive due to an active rock slide that occurred late Sunday night.
Caltrans crews arrived at the location around 11:30 p.m. with a front loader and began clearing debris and boulders off the roadway.
At the time of this report, it was unknown when PCH would fully reopen due to the unstable hillside.
Motorists are being advised to take alternate routes.
One lane was reported to be open as of Monday morning, according to sources.
