HISTORIC SOUTH CENTRAL LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30 (KNN) — A curbside rubbish fire spread to a parked vehicle overnight, engulfing it in flames and damaging a nearby pickup truck.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 100 block of 33rd Street for an auto fire at 12:15 a.m. Monday in Historic South Central Los Angeles.
The fire spread from rubbish on the sidewalk to a nearby parked vehicle. The car fire damaged the front end of a pickup truck parked behind it.
The apparent owner of the truck backed the vehicle away from the burning car, clearly making visible the melted headlights and damaged bumper.
Firefighters quickly doused the flames consuming the car. Currently, it’s not clear what caused the rubbish to ignite.
