RV Struck by Gunfire in South Los Angeles, Dog Injured

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (KNN) — An occupied recreational vehicle was fired upon overnight while parked on a street in the Chesterfield Square neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division units responded to a shooting shortly after midnight Thursday, regarding a victim in an RV on Gage Avenue just west of Manhattan Place.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim in the RV uninjured. However, the victim’s dog was struck by gunfire.

The victim told police the suspect fired four shots from the street into the RV before fleeing.

The dog was taken to an animal hospital by LAPD officers.

There are no further details at this time.

KNN has reached out to LAPD for an update on the victim’s pet.
