MISSION HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 9 (KNN) — A sedan slammed into a parked van overnight leaving the driver injured and passenger trapped.
Los Angeles Police Department officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported traffic collision around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, with people trapped inside a vehicle in the 10600 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard in Mission Hills.
When units arrived at the scene, they found the driver with leg injuries and one female passenger trapped inside a sedan with front end collision damage. The impact of the single-vehicle crash into the backside of a parked van had pushed the van into another parked vehicle at the location.
The fire department worked to free the female using hydraulic cutters to remove the passenger door.
LAFD paramedics transported the driver and passenger to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
