Semi Crashes off Freeway Into Sheriff’s Station Parking Lot, Catches Fire in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif., Mar. 2 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving a semi-truck occurred Friday morning on Interstate 15 South, south of Roy Rogers Road in Victorville.

The incident, reported shortly after 10:00 a.m., involved a semi rolling off the freeway and into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department parking lot located behind the Victorville Courthouse.

The truck caught fire shortly after the collision. A water main was also ruptured as a result of this crash, which was soon after shut down for repairs, seen briefly on the Key News Network video from the scene.

One occupant was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center, and officials with the California Highway Patrol reported that the individual is alive.

Heavy-duty cleanup equipment was used to manage the situation.
