Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County, CA: Firefighters doused the flames of a burning semi-trailer on the 57 Freeway Monday night.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol officers responded to a semi-trailer on fire around 9:41 p.m., May 29, reportedly spreading to the hillside on the southbound 57 Freeway at Brea Canyon Road in Diamond Bar.
Once firefighters arrived on scene, they located a trailer on fire that did not spread to the brush. Firefighters were able to achieve knockdown within 30 to 45 minutes from the time of dispatch.
It is unknown at this time how the fire started and what contents burned inside the trailer.
CHP had only two left lanes open for the southbound 57 Freeway at the time of the incident.
