LAFD crews arrived to find a one-acre, terrain-driven brush fire burning uphill in 5 mph winds. The fire quickly spread to 10 acres in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles.
The “Sepulveda Fire” prompted the Los Angeles Police Department and LAFD personnel to order evacuations for the area east of Sepulveda, north of Getty Center Drive.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, all forward progress had stopped, with the fire held at approximately 40 acres, reported the LAFD. The incident remains active; however, the evacuation warning was lifted.
