SANTA CLARITA, Calif., June 6 (KNN) — Amid a late spring heat wave, firefighters battled multiple blazes that broke out in several locations across the Santa Clarita Valley’s west side Wednesday afternoon.
As temperatures crossed 90 degrees, at least four separate fires broke out including one near the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and Rockwell Canyon Road, across from College of the Canyons.
Crews responded to the area shortly after 2 p.m. after responding to another fire a few miles away about 15 minutes earlier.
The cause of all fires remains unknown but under investigation as of 3 p.m.
