Shed Burns Behind Pacoima Home; Residents Evacuate With Birds, Dogs

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13 (KNN) — A shed fully engulfed in flames behind a home in Pacoima prompted a response from the fire department and residents to evacuate.

The Los Angeles Fire Department noticed a large fire off the 210 Freeway, and a structure fire was reported in the 12900 block of Desmond Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the location and found heavy fire showing from the rear of a home where a shed was engulfed in flames. Loud explosions were heard coming from propane tanks in the back of the house.

The residents safely evacuated and were seen bringing out birds and dogs.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
