La Mirada, Los Angeles County, CA: A man wanted on suspicion of murder was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by multiple Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and undercover personnel.
The incident unfolded shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in a quiet neighborhood located near Figueras Road and Excelsior Drive which is located a half mile south of Biola University in the city of La Mirada.
Sheriff’s Homicide detectives received intel that the unidentified male was driving to the location in a black Jaguar SUV. Neighbors stated that the individual is a grandson to someone who lives in the area and that he was possibly driving to his grandparents’ home.
Sheriff’s officials quickly converged upon the Jaguar SUV in multiple undercover vehicles after he arrived, and took him into custody.
An additional female occupant was also taken into custody. The Jaguar was reported stolen.
The suspect’s involvement in the fatal incident is currently unclear.
