Shooting at Compton Party Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Wounded

COMPTON, Calif., June 8 (KNN) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are investigating the shooting death of a male in the city of Compton Friday evening.

Deputies along with the Compton Fire Department responded to the 800 block of Greenleaf Boulevard and Mayo Avenue for multiple people shot around 8 p.m.

One male was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the LASD. There were four other victims –one male, three females – that were also shot and transported to local hospitals in an unknown conditions.

It is unknown if anyone is in custody or still outstanding. There are no further details from the LASD at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
