Shooting at Family Park in Lancaster Leaves Multiple People Wounded

LANCASTER, Calif., May 11 (KNN) — Multiple people were wounded in a shooting at or near a community park in the city of Lancaster late Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 5:42 p.m., Lancaster deputies responded to a shooting incident at 5th Street East and Nugent Street in the area of El Dorado Park.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds. Initial reports indicated that as many as five people may have been shot, although this has not yet been confirmed.

According to eyewitness accounts, the shooting allegedly stemmed from a physical altercation between a group of individuals, which escalated into gunfire.

No further details are available at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
