Shooting in Bakersfield Leaves 1 Wounded, Investigation Underway

BAKERSFIELD, CA, Aug. 30 (KNN) — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one victim wounded Wednesday night.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., Bakersfield PD received reports for a shooting victim at the Circle K on White Lane and El Potrero Lane.

Officers and the Bakersfield Fire Department arrived at the scene, where paramedics treated and then transported the patient with moderate injuries to a local hospital by ambulance.

Bakersfield PD located the crime scene across the street at the Howard Johnson Hotel in the 2700 block of White Lane.

Officers are seen in Key News Network video investigating the shooting and searching for evidence.
