CUDAHY, Calif., Nov. 27 (KNN) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into a double shooting in the city of Cudahy that left one person dead and another critically injured early Tuesday morning, according to the LASD Information Bureau.
According to an updated LASD press release of the incident, East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station deputies were in the area of Clara Street and Atlantic Avenue for a domestic violence call when they heard gunshots at approximately 12:58 a.m.
While canvassing the area, they located a gunshot victim at the 4400 block of Clara Street. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced a male deceased.
Deputies located an additional gunshot victim in the rear parking lot of a nearby apartment complex, according to the press release. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
The LASD stated that the gunshot victims were not related to the domestic violence incident call for service.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information at this time.
