Shooting in Hemet Leaves 1 Injured; Investigation Underway

HEMET, Calif., Oct. 30 (KNN) — The Hemet/San Jacinto Gang Task Force (GTF) is investigating a shooting that left one wounded in a parking lot on East Stetson Avenue late Tuesday night, according to the Hemet Police Department in a press release.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:47 p.m. in the 100 block of East Stetson Avenue in Hemet. The Hemet Public Safety Communications Center received several calls reporting multiple subjects shooting at each other at the location, stated the press release.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition.

A KNN video journalist at the scene observed multiple cars in the parking lot with bullet holes, and bullet casings were seen throughout the lot.
