Shooting Leaves 1 Wounded at Park in Baldwin Hills

BALDWIN HILLS, LOS ANGELES, July 26 (KNN) — A shooting left one person wounded in the area of the Jim Gilliam Park in Baldwin Hills late Thursday evening.

Los Angeles police officers and fire department personnel responded to the 4000 block of Nicolet Avenue for a possible shooting around 9:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found a victim of a gunshot wound in the basketball court area of the park. The victim was transported in unknown condition by LAFD paramedics to a local hospital.

There is no suspect information, according to the LAPD. However, officers did recover casings from the area of the shooting as evidence.

There are no further details at this time.
