Shooting Leaves 1 Wounded in Sylmar, Investigation Underway

SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 (KNN) — A shooting in the Sylmar neighborhood late Wednesday night left one victim wounded and prompted a police investigation into the circumstances and identity of the shooter.

The shooting was reported shortly before 11 p.m. in the 12400 block of Adelphia Avenue.

Los Angeles police officers and fire department responded to the shooting location where one male victim was found down near the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. His condition was unknown.

The LAPD had set up a crime scene at the location and continues to investigate the incident.
