LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (KNN) — Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Division responded to the area of Avenue 23 and Humboldt Street for reports of a shooting victim around 2 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, officers located a male down in the street. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. A spokesperson for the LAPD said the victim is in stable condition.
According to the LAPD, Initial incident information indicates that a 39-year-old male victim was approached by a male suspect, 40-45 years old, who produced a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect fled on foot.
There is no further information at this time.
