Shooting Victim Crashes into Another Vehicle in East Los Angeles

East Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA: A driver was shot in their vehicle while traveling on Ditman Avenue, south of Marengo Street in the unincorporated area of East Los Angeles on Monday night, June 6, around 10:30 p.m.

The shooting occurred on Ditman Avenue between Pomeroy and Marengo streets. The victim was driving a compact two-door vehicle when they were shot, and then continued toward Marengo Street where they struck a second vehicle.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the intersection and transported the unidentified victim to a local area hospital in unknown condition.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s East Los Angeles Station is handling the investigation.

Traffic was closed on Ditman Avenue and in both directions on Marengo Street.
