Shooting Victim Found Down on Street in East Los Angeles

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif., Apr. 12 (KNN) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s East Los Angeles Station deputies responded to reports of a shooting victim shortly after 1 a.m. in the 3500 block of East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue in East Los Angeles.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located the victim down on Townsend Avenue just south of Cesar E. Chavez Avenue.

A few bullet casings were observed marked on the ground within the crime scene where officers worked to investigate the shooting.

The victim was transported by paramedics to a local hospital in unknown condition.

There are no further details at this time.
