Single-Vehicle Crash Off 14 Freeway Leaves 2 Ejected Victims Injured

Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: Two victims ejected and injured in a single-vehicle crash off the 14 Freeway were located down an embankment by authorities early Monday morning, Sept. 5, in the city of Lancaster.

At approximately 12:13 a.m., California Highway Patrol received a call regarding a vehicle that lost control and flew off the freeway just north of Ave L on the northbound 14 Freeway.

Upon arrival, CHP officers discovered a dark colored vehicle that was unoccupied down an embankment of the freeway. Officers canvassed the nearby brush and found two occupants that were ejected from the vehicle, one being a minor.

Firefighters and paramedics responded from numerous stations and transported the two patients to a nearby hospital, with the child to Childrens Hospital via helicopter in unknown condition after being treated at the scene.

It is unknown if speed was a factor and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
