Single-Vehicle Crashes Into Ditch, Burns Off 5 Freeway in Griffith Park

GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES, June 6 (KNN) — A vehicle traveling the 5 Freeway late Wednesday night crashed off the roadway into a ditch in the Griffith Park area of Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a car fire on the 5 Freeway at the Colorado exit.

Upon arrival, they found a vehicle with fire present in the front end and the driver was located outside the vehicle.

LAFD paramedics transported the driver in unknown condition to a local hospital.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
