Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash Shears Hydrant in Exposition Park

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 (KNN) — A single-vehicle rollover crash injured one person and sheared a hydrant late Thursday night in the Exposition Park neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

The collision occurred at approximately 11:54 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Figueroa Street. One person was extricated from an overturned vehicle by responding Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. The patient was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

Water gushed from a sheared hydrant impacted by the vehicle until LAFD crews were able to shut off the water flow in approximately 10 minutes.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division officers were at the scene handling the investigation.
