WEST COVINA, Calif., Jan. 18 (KNN) — Authorities finally placed a speeding motorcyclist into custody after a pursuit on the 10 Freeway late Wednesday night.
The California Highway Patrol attempted to stop a motorcycle that was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on the 10 Freeway at Azusa Avenue in the city of West Covina just before 10:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist did not stop for officers and a pursuit ensued into the Pomona area, exiting the eastbound 10 Freeway at North Garey Avenue. The motorcycle then entered the westbound 10 Freeway at speeds reaching 140 mph.
The motorcycle exited the freeway at Azusa Avenue in the West Covina area where it stopped and the rider was taken into custody by authorities on East Garvey Avenue North and South Hollenbeck Street.
