Stabbing at Kid’s Skatepark in Lancaster Leaves 1 Male in Critical Condition

LANCASTER, Calif., Mar. 10 (KNN) — A male was stabbed in the neck at a kid’s skatepark in the city of Lancaster Saturday evening, according to authorities.

Lancaster deputies responded to an assault with a knife call shortly after 6:30 p.m. at Jane Reynolds Skatepark located at the intersection of Avenue J and Fig Avenue.

According to initial information, calls were coming into the sheriff’s station stating that a male was stabbed in the neck and was unresponsive.

Deputies discovered a male lying on the park grass and began to administer CPR. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition.

There were no suspects detained at the time of this report. Lancaster deputies secured the park to begin their investigation.

The male victim, around 22 years old, is in critical but stable condition according to the last update the sheriff’s station received. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are currently unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
