BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (KNN) — A high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a crash into a structure early Wednesday morning, with the suspect attempting to flee on foot.
California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles units were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle out of Riverside County when the suspect crashed into a building around 2 a.m. on the southwest corner of Lorena Street and Pico Boulevard in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The suspect fled on foot after the crash but was quickly apprehended by the CHP and later transported by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics to a local hospital for unknown injuries.
The pursuit reached speeds exceeding 120 mph while on the westbound 10 Freeway.
No other injuries were reported.
