CAMARILLO, Calif., Feb. 6 (KNN) — A suspect was apprehended overnight after a crash ended the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
A Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in the city of Camarillo initiated a traffic stop on a stolen pickup truck around midnight. The truck took off from the deputy and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit passed through residential streets at high speeds in moderate rain conditions. At several points the suspect drove the wrong-way.
The suspect eventually crashed and foot bailed at the southeast corner of Ponderosa Drive and Rosewood Avenue leaving a female passenger behind. He was quickly apprehended by deputies without further incident.
Both the female passenger and suspect were evaluated at the scene by medical personnel.
There are no further details at this time.
