Stray Bullet Lodges in Wall of Apartment in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, CA, July 12 (KNN) — Sheriff’s deputies are searching for clues after a bullet was fired and lodged into the wall of a Santa Clarita apartment.

The shooting occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on the 20900 block of Judah Lane near Newhall Avenue.

Deputies believe a high caliber weapon was used in the crime, but don’t have any clues into who fired the weapon.

No one was struck by the gunfire.

This follows two shootings in the city over the last week, one that resulted in a deputy-involved shooting and another resulting in a teenager being hospitalized.

The man shot in the July Fourth deputy-involved shooting died Thursday after spending two days on life support.

All three shootings remain under investigation.
