WEST ADAMS, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (KNN) — A Subway sandwich shop caught fire along with other businesses within a strip mall overnight in the West Adams neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 2600 block of South La Brea Avenue for reports of a structure fire shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and fire from a Subway sandwich shop. The Greater Alarm fire involved all three businesses, including check cashing and a smoke shop, along with the attic within the 50-foot by 120-foot one-story strip mall.
According to the LAFD, 50 firefighters achieved knockdown in approximately 52 minutes.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under active investigation.
