OXNARD, Calif., Jan. 21 (KNN) — A man was arrested for allegedly wounding three people in a shooting at a sports lounge in the city of Oxnard early Monday morning.
According to the Oxnard Police Department’s news release of the incident, a suspect is in custody after a shooting erupted at the Q-Club Sports Lounge around 2 a.m., leaving one female and two males wounded in front of the business in the 2600 block of North Oxnard Boulevard.
An Oxnard police officer was in the parking lot of the club, monitoring patrons as they were leaving, when he heard gunfire coming from the front of the business, according to the news release. When the officer immediately responded to the area, three victims struck by gunfire were located outside. The suspect fled in a white sedan driven by a female.
First responders arrived and, according to information from the scene, declared the incident a “Level 1 MCI” due to the number of patients. Per Ventura County EMS public information available online, a Level 1 MCI is “a suddenly occurring event that exceeds the capacity of the routine first response assignment (approximately 3 – 14 victims).”
The Oxnard PD identified the victims as a 33-year-old male and a 28-year-old female, both suffering a gunshot wound to the right leg and a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the right arm. Their injuries were not life-threatening, and they were in stable condition.
“It was later learned that shortly after the shooting, a deputy from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a white Kia Ultima in the city of Camarillo,” according to the news release. “The female driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI, and the male passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.”
The Oxnard PD has identified the male passenger as 30-year-old Oscar Eulloque, a Camarillo resident.
Investigators determined Eulloque was responsible for the shooting after investigating multiple sources of evidence that included video surveillance and witness statements. He was arrested for three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Ventura County Jail.
