WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES, July 23 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide detectives announced the arrest of a murder suspect involved in a fatal stabbing that occurred on Sunday, July 21, at 12:38 a.m.

Arriving officers at the scene near the 900 block of North Banning Boulevard in Wilmington, found a 43-year-old female and a 39-year-old male both suffering from stab wounds, according to the LAPD’s news release of the incident. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
The male victim was transported by LAFD paramedics to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries and listed in stable condition. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
The LAPD has identified the suspect as 19-year-old Briones, Henry. He has been booked for murder.
The relationship between the individuals and the circumstances surrounding the stabbings were not revealed in LAPD’s news release.
