Suspect Barricades in House After Family Dispute; Hours-Long Standoff Ensues with Police

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: Bakersfield Police Department was called out to the area of Bora Bora Lane in the city of Bakersfield for a suspect arguing with family and kicked them outside of the house Sunday evening, Oct. 2, 2022.

When BPD arrived, the suspect made suicidal statements and refused to comply with officers. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the residence for multiple hours and eventually was taken into custody.
