Suspect Vehicle Rams Sheriff’s Department Truck at End of Chase, Deputy Opens Fire

MONTCLAIR, CA, Sept. 21 (KNN) — The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a deputy-involved shooting at the end of a chase that occurred around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chevron gas station in the 9700 block of Central Avenue and San Bernardino Street in the city of Montclair.

Per one witness who declined to speak on camera, the suspect driving a BMW rammed a sheriff’s deputy’s pickup truck and that is when a deputy shot at the suspect.

One person was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy was also transported to a local hospital. The deputy’s condition is not currently known.

There is no further information at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
